I work really hard every day on being a positive outlook kind of person.

The world can sure make it challenging sometimes.

You’re probably reading this on a device that constantly pings you with news headlines.

It’s always doom and gloom.

Unless you are super amazing at curating your newsfeed. Then I must say congratulations. Also, thank you for having me be a part of that feed.

I like to keep the negative headlines away from myself and my family.

Keep the focus on what I’m up to, my daily to do list, writing, selling a winning dining experience, playing music, lots of family time with the kids.

This time of year I also become obsessed with taking a look back at all the good stuff that came from 2018.

If you make a list, it can be a gratifying experience.

I’m gonna share my list with you, feel free to share yours with me as well, that seems fair.

• Had baby #3. Artie is four months now, and doing great. My oldest son is 17, and my daughter just turned two.

• Bravo’s had it’s best catering year to date. 2019 will feature a big, necessary update to our catering offerings, keep an eye out.

• The Brav also posted it’s best online ordering and delivery numbers ever in November of ’18. More of you are signing up on a monthly basis, we are so glad to have you with us.

• I spent over 200 days improving my skills recording and playing the drums. I have a side hustle as a music producer and engineer at my own studio. • The new Bravo Burritos website is like 90% done. Thanks to my pal Chad, will will be launching that soon, stay tuned.

• Started emailing my lists. I’m sure you’re aware that I’m shamelessly selling to you every week but I’ve become a more consistent writer by sending these emails to you.

• Oversaw the production of two commercially released albums this year. Both of which I did a ton of work on and are super proud of. Take a listen on Spotify. MoeDeLL. The Arcanes. More to come next year too.

• Got better at my food photography. I’m no prize winning photographer, but the plates on the menu at Bravo’s look so appetizing, I can’t stop taking pics. I’ll put a couple at the end of the email for your ocular pleasure.

• Finally, here’s a quirky one – I started listening to my podcasts on 1.5 speed. I can more rapidly consume content that way, plus I think it sharpens my brain and forces me to pay attention in a deeper manner. Now I just need to start reading more. Here I come, 2019!
