Well, we did it. We survived dropping Edie off for her first week of daycare. And by we, I mean Sam. I’ve been picking her up. That’s the easy part. Today was the first time I had to drop our baby off and boy is that much harder. It compounds the difficulty in the fact that on Mondays I work from home so I just feel like a terrible father.
Trying to keep it together dropping off the baby
A couple of weeks ago I had a rare session in my studio where the baby slept in a Boba Wrap while I recorded vocals for a client. That doesn’t happen very often, I promise. I did get a great picture of it in the moment that I’m glad to share here.
You’d think that there would be baby noises in the recording right?
Call us crazy, but we thought it would be fun to try using cloth diapers. It’s certainly an excuse to dress a baby in another cute article of clothing. We are also increasing the amount of laundry we do so maybe it doesn’t pay off in a labor reducing way, but there are so many diapers in the trash otherwise. Edie looks super cute in them though!
Anyway, I’m gonna share yet another gallery of Edie photos for the delight of any would be obsessed fans of Baby Edie as she continues to look super cute for the camera. It is Monday, by the way, and I should get in my studio and get to the work that needs to be done.
