Hello friends and family!

My old iPhone 6 was a trusty companion of mine for over two and a half years.

Finally, my impatience over how sluggish it had become forced my hand.

I take a lot of pictures (of Edie) so I figured I’d put the family in the poor house and get an iPhone X.

The newest iterations of Apple’s mobile devices have a new feature called “Portrait Mode”, which blurs the background of the photo, giving images a stunning, depth of field effect.

I’m imagining all the people with expensive cameras and lenses scoffing at me right now.

That’s okay though, I have all these pics of my baby to keep me happy.

Here’s a gallery of some of the pics I’ve taken in portrait mode since getting my new device.

My dear child is full of new poses and faces just about every day now, so there is limitless possibility as far as capturing her doing fantastic things.
