Let me tell ya. Edie just crossed six months recently, which to her means trying food, teething, sitting up (and falling down), and hair pulling.

LOTS of hair pulling.

But no matter how annoying all the pulls and pinches and scratches, you also get the giggles.

And the belly laughs.

Life for Edie is all about new things and discovery. Sure, she wants to make a grab for Dad’s iPad once in a while, but she just wants to take pictures. She doesn’t care much for Netflix yet.

You know what she does care for, though is our food processor.

Poor baby doesn’t have any teeth yet but she is just ravenous for her oatmeal breakfast and her veggies for dinner. Taking some cooked sweet potatoes and peas through our multi-blade menace in the kitchen will turn them into a mash that only a baby could love.

And love it she does.

At least now she does. The first few attempts at eating food, Edie acted like were putting her in the Iron Maiden.

Bogus.

But then she changed her mind.

She just loves carrots, peas, spinach, squash, mangoes, pears, apples, and I could go on and on.

She even tried the beans and rice from Bravo Burritos and man did she go hog-wild for that combo.

Even with her hearty diet, all the sitting up, trying to stay balanced, and even trying to stand occasionally really knocks a girl out sometimes.

We are very thankful in our house for having a gal that likes to take naps. She goes hard while she’s awake and when she gets tired, she lets us know and is happy to lie down for a little while.

A fine baby, our Baby Edie.

There’s a little photo gallery below of Edie having herself a good old time. I hope this babe can put a smile on your face like she does to mine.
